"The Wind"

The wind is carrying a secret gift
of God's sweet whispers like a kiss
on my brow when I weep, all of my
sorrows He does keep.

Though, through my eyes I cannot see
all that He is doing for me,
In my heart I must feel and trust in Him
to know what's real.

And when the shadows fall on me,
though the light I cannot see,
I feel the wind upon my cheek,
and know my soul holds the key,
to God's sweet world above,
enveloped in Eternal Love.

" The Dance"

One bright and starry moonlit night,
two brothers were looking to the sky,
in wonderment of the glorious lights
as the clouds danced by.

The younger one asked the older
"Is Jesus up there?"
The older brother smiled and
put his hand on the little one*s shoulder.

"Jesus is everywhere," He said.
"He watches over us day and night,
He is the light that makes the stars
shine, so you won*t be scared at night."

The little one gave this some thought,
and with a smile he replied, " I know
that Jesus is in my heart and that I love Him a lot!"

" I want to give Jesus a great big kiss
and hug for all that He has done for
me." The little one wrapped his arms
around himself, and reached little hands
up high, then he blew Jesus a great big
kiss, right up to the sky!

He turned to his brother with a serious
look in his eyes, and asked him, " Why
brother, why did Jesus have to die?"

The older brother thought of what to say
and then all of a sudden, it came to him
as clear as day!

"God sent Jesus, his only Son, to show us
all the way. It*s all a part of God*s great
plan. Jesus had to die, to wash our sins away.
But, don*t be sad little brother, for Jesus lives
again! He is Heaven with His Father, watching
over us, just as he*s always been."

The little one after much thought, smiled and
said, " I*d like to ask Jesus to dance." He started
to dance and he danced and danced, under the stars
that shone so bright. I t really was a beautiful sight!

After that night, that very special night when all
the stars shone so bright. He always remembered
and never forgot to say his prayers every day,
and thank God for Jesus and what He did for
us "that day".

And every now and again, when he got the
chance, he always remembered to ask Jesus to
dance.

Seedlings of My Faith!

The ties that bind, let’s keep in mind are sometimes made of twine
But more than not, what holds a box is of a feebler kind
And often so, this fact I know, some people are wrapped as such
When two become one, and become undone, just a sour turn of luck?

What I believe, and do now conceive from experience and of empirical evidence
That being in love is as a plant evolves, from seed to its present tense
Without the ample supply, they wither and die, the seedling and the affection
No light or sun, and no irrigation some, both decay without protection

And by the light, please get this right, I mean as a source of illumination
Truth and honesty, like vitamins can be, to a meaningful relation
A death by root rot, more often than not, as do lies and deceit put asunder
All the joy and bliss, a failed happiness, leaving only anger and wonder

When just simple care, is all needed there, but insidious is that parasite
That eats his full, and as a rule, moves on to infest other seedlings with their blight
I hate such vermin, the stealing loathing *curmudgeon, who through cunning lies gain
way
And without pretension, sets on a mission, leaves behind shells of only rot and decay

I find utter disgust, to watch a flower thus; its beauty wither and fade
From too little attention, or abundant opposition, when left too long in darkness or
shade
But as hope springs eternal, let me leave this thoughtful kernel, to stay with you from
depths of my soul
Yes, a seedling dies and decays, but in its new growth portrays, the evidence that God’
s greater love remains in full control!

UNBREAKABLE

Hands are young
Hands are old
Hands hold stories
That must be told

Palms of faith
Palms of fate
Palms hold lives
That yet relate

Fingers in mourning
Fingers in love
Fingers with passion
That hold a dove

Nails that dig
Nails that touch
Nails that love
That blaze so much

Our eyes filled with life
Our eyes filled with fears
Our eyes filled with darkness
That only heaven hears

Embracing with love
Embracing with fear
Embracing with passion

Take my soul and heal it
Take my soul and smile
Take my soul and make it pure
If only for a while

Feel my heart and mend it
Feel my heart and cry
Feel my heart and steal it
Take it to the sky

The darkness holds our stories
The darkness holds our tears
The darkness holds our everything
We only dare to fear

Two start as two
Two become one
Two strive for unison
Yet end undone

Hold my heart and free it
Hold my heart in full
Hold my heart conceal it
Fragile yet unbreakable.

"I started writing short stories for children about 3
years ago, and the poetry soon followed. I get my
inspiration from just about anything. The first line
of 'Unbreakable' popped in my head while watching a
movie.  I stopped the movie, and 3 hours later
'Unbreakable' was written!!"
